It was the eighth film produced by Pixar. I checked out a sneak preview of Ratatouille last night, and I must say I truly loved this movie. Everything from the animation to the score to the voice acting to the story (and especially the story).

Ratatouille is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. They are fine and they look wonderful. Ratatouille is something that I have loved my entire life.

The ingredients needed to make Ratatouille:
  1. Prepare 1 cup sweet onion – diced 3/4 inch"
  2. Prepare 4 cloves garlic – chopped
  3. Take 1 ounce olive oil
  4. Make ready 1/4 of a red bell pepper – diced 3/4 inch"
  5. Take 1/4 of a green bell pepper–diced 3/4 inch"
  6. Make ready 4 each white mushroom – quarter the mushrooms

  8. Prepare 1 plum tomato –diced 3/4 inch"
  9. Get 1/2 each zucchini squash – diced 3/4 inch"
  10. Take 1/2 of a yellow squash – diced 3/4 inch"
  11. Get 1/2 cup chicken stock
  12. Get 1/2 teaspoon oregano,dry
  13. Prepare 1 1/2 cups crushed tomato
  14. Make ready 1 tablespoon sugar (optional- this will depend on your taste)
  15. Take 1 sprig fresh thyme – chopped- no stems
  16. Get 1 sprig fresh tarragon – chopped- no stems
  17. Prepare 6 leaves fresh basil – chopped- no stems
  18. Make ready 1/4 teaspoon salt – to taste
  19. Make ready 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions to make Ratatouille:
    1. Dice the eggplant and place in a bowl and add just enough water to cover and add 2 teaspoon salt and let soak for 20 minutes and the drain off. This will take away bitterness.
  1. Sauté the onion and garlic in the olive oil until translucent about 3-4 minutes in a large 4 quart sauce pan or dutch oven.
    1. Add the peppers, mushrooms, eggplant, tomatoes and squash, dry oregano and sauté with a moderate heat for approximately 5 minutes.
    1. Add stock and crushed tomatoes and sugar cook for 15 minutes or until tender not mush:)
  2. Add fresh herbs and seasonings.
